Chippewa Sustainable Solutions Submits 8(a) “JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT” Application to SBA.

Turtle Mountain Reservation (Belcourt, ND) - February, 2013

Officials from Chippewa Sustainable Solutions (CSS) submitted their 8(a) joint venture agreement to the ND/SBA for approval. CSS will be (if/when approved) an 8(a) joint venture firm operating under the control of Chippewa Tribal Industries, which is an approved 8(a) program participant; and Indian Energy LLC. Chippewa Tribal Industries is a tribal 8(a) company wholly owned by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. Indian Energy LLC is a 100% Native owned energy developer and management company owned in part by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Working with ND/SBA advisor Tom Linnertz, CTI's Ramona LaVallie and IE's Henry Boulley completed a tribal 8(a) joint venture application including supporting documentation that totalled 400+ pages. 8(a) approval of the Joint Venture Agreement is anticipated for mid April, 2013.
